Academic Curriculum

At AnNur Islamic School, we seek to educate the total child.  The curriculum is challenging and geared toward the objective of preparing our students to excel in all their endeavors.  We recognize that each student is an individual and thus the curriculum needs to be flexible enough to meet the needs of every student.  The small class sizes enable teachers to tailor the educational experience to each individual student.  When this need is met, the curriculum is challenging to every student while at the same time no student is overwhelmed.  Our ultimate aim is for each student to reach his or her full potential.

Our curriculum objectives are adopted from the standards published by the New York State Education Department.  These standards can be found here:

AnNur Islamic School’s curriculum is generally accelerated, and its students are challenged to perform consistently beyond grade-level.  The achievement of this goal can be observed in the excellent scores of AnNur Islamic School students on standardized tests.
